Nordvik shares its business in two parts: Nordvik Health House is engaged in the import and distribution of dietary supplements and Nordvik Sport & fashion is engaged in the import, distribution and retail of clothing and footwear of prestigious brands (Adidas, Lacoste and Speedo). Nordvik is constantly working to improve and expand its business activities in order to get the best place in the region. The need for an appropriate information system was created at the moment when the company began to develop and open new retail facilities. The task of the project was to enable centralized management and greater control over the distributed business system.
In order to successfully implement the project, after recording the situation, a project specification was developed that included information support for all business processes. The implementation of the system was carried out in two parallel phases according to the project specification and timetable. One phase was the implementation of the central ERP system asw: dominus where it was a priority to place goods under control and especially a central warehouse. The second phase involved the implementation of the retail system asw: mercantis and the successive release of retail facilities into operation. The complete project was implemented in 3 months. The process of controlling the receipt and dispatch of goods from the warehouse has been greatly improved by the introduction of the asw: RF Terminal solution, which enables the control of goods by means of mobile devices directly linked to the central system.
